Daily Announcements

The ATEC Summer Camp was a huge success! Thanks to everyone who attended...fun was had by all!

eChalk Parent Accounts

Parents of middle & high school students can register for an eChalk Parent Account now, but you will receive a letter from the home school shortly that will include your student's District ID number.  This information will allow parents to access your students' schedules and view class pages directly.  (All parents must create a new account for the 2013-14 School Year.)   Please go to your student's high school website to register.

Elementary school students can be added without the Student ID information.

Additional information on eChalk Parent Accounts - including a video walk-through - are available on the district website at www.kershaw.k12.sc.us/district/instruction/echalk.

Congratulations!!

Agriculture update

Our agriculture students and the ATEC Kershaw County chapter of FFA have been busy these past few weeks. They attended Ag Day at Clemson University and watched the Tigers play Boston College. They participated in the FFA/Ag Day at the State Fair. They helped refresh the large flower bed outside Camden Primary School. And they heard from Tommy Odem, a mobile technician with John Deere, who talked to them about ag careers and gave them John Deere caps.

Check out our ATEC health science students who attended the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) fall leadership conference at Newberry College on Oct.17. Led by Tammy Pugh, Laura Marshall and Kathy Vidal, the students are sporting specially made ATEC T-shirts created by our graphics and commercial arts students!

Among the new additions to ATEC this year is a modern high tech lab for our Honors BioMed classes. You can check out this new lab and learn more about ATEC by calling 803-425-8982.

Auto Collision Technology project

Check this out. Our Auto Collision Technology students have been busy working on a porch glider project this semester learning to disassemble, sand blast, prime and paint using two colors. Instructor David Weaver says the project has taught the students skills they can use to work on automobiles.
